Pair of antique prints, copper plate engravings of Roscommon Abbey. The prints where published in 1797. Drawing for the prints where originally done by Francis Grose and the engravers listed are J sparrow (Plate 1) and J newton (Plate 2) The prints are part of a larger set on Ireland, published by Hooper & Wigstead in London. Prints are in good condition for age, some marking and foxing, mainly away from print area on plate 2. Print area is 7 by 5 inches, paper area 10 1/2 by 8 inches. Excellent pair, suitable for framing.
